How restoration goes

Check
We check a starter by connecting it to a power supply, an alternator on a bench with computer equipment.

Taking apart
We take the unit apart and find the real cause of the fault.

Checking the parts
We check which parts are worn.

Agreeing with you
We call you, tell you which parts we recommend replacing so the unit lasts, and exactly what the repair and restoration will cost.

Restoration
We sandblast the parts and wash them in cleaning and washing machines, so the unit looks like new.

Assembly and testing
We put the unit back together and test it once more.
When restoration is worth it
- For older and classic cars, when a new original unit can no longer be bought or you want to keep the original.
- When looks matter: the unit is visible in the engine bay, you are preparing the car for sale, or it is a collector's vehicle or a motorcycle.
- When the housing and windings are sound, and only replaceable parts are worn: then the restored unit works and looks like new.
